For a Better World 2011
Thank you Saad Ghosn editor and creator of “ For a Better World 2011” eighth edition for including me in this unique compilation of poems and drawings. This book features over 100 artists in the field of writing and the visual artist who collaborated on the common theme of peace and justice. The drawing I did for this book, “The Working Hands of Time in the New Eden” was inspired by the three poems, “My Fathers Work Gloves”, “Uninspirited” and “The Sand Wars” written by Matt Birkenhauer. The book is filled with other great writings accompanied with strong visual imagery that evokes the mind and spirit. If you would like a copy of this book it is sold at the Alice F. and Harris K. Weston Art Gallery in the Aronoff Center for the Arts or contact Saad Ghosn directly at GHOSNS@UCMAIL.UC.EDU.

Monster Art
For my last week as the visual arts instructor at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center Camp Create ,15 talented young arts between the age’s of 9 and 13 and I had the amazing task of turning two junk yard automobiles into works of art. Myself along with the students and the assistance of Chris Harris former ArtWorks apprentice designed the rock n’ roll, heavy metal, drag racing – hot rod imagery on both cars. These metal masterpieces will be, featured at Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam at Paul Brown stadium on July 23rd where they will be demolished. Before their heroic sacrifice, they will be on Fountain Square July,14 and again on the July 21st. Thank you Monster Jam for giving my students at the Kennedy Heights Art Center Camp Create a chance to rock out and explore on the automotive canvas. Most of all thanks to the students for making this experience one to remember. Come out to Fountain Square to see the cars.
