Building blocks and Artist Talk

“Chocolat” at Prairie

Thank you Brian Joiner for inviting to be apart of your league of creative visionaries in the Chocolate Exhibition at Prairie Gallery. Once again you challenged me to not only think outside the box but to pull from the sensuality that the subject matter(chocolate) already evokes to the senses. Along with the work of Gustav Klimpt and Alphonse Mucha you have once again inspired me.  A portion of proceeds from the exhibition’s sales benefit the Taft Museum of Art’s Duncanson Society.

In addition to sharing with the group my experience in art education and its services to diverse communities, I engaged the class with the interactive magnetic quilt project, which originated from one of my lessons from Contemporary Connection at the Contemporary Arts Center. Thank you Arts Wave for inviting me and my magnets.
