Architectonic Lyricism A Retrospective at NKU Galleries

Cedric Postcard NKU500

I am very proud to announce the opening of Architectonic Lyricism at Northern Kentucky University Art Galleries. Architectonic Lyricism, is a retrospective of the first fifteen years of my career. The pieces featured explore my evolving interest in reinventing the geometries in both man-made and natural environments with various themes, including music and its correlation to the visual compositions and creative spirit.  From my earlier large scale abstract drawings, followed by my exploration of the urban cityscape, to recent paintings depicting rhythmic movements in nature, this  show highlights my past influences and future aspirations.  The show opens to the public August 18th and the artist reception will be on September 4th from 5 – 7 pm. As a native of Cincinnati, It’s an honor to have my work included in the book The Cincinnati Anthology. This compilation of writings and visual art brings together some of Cincinnati’s most notable residents—native sons and daughters creatives and contemplators—in order to tell the stories of the city, its triumphs and its troubles.  In addition to  the book editor of the book, Zan McQuade is curating an exhibition at Harvest Gallery that will feature artwork by some of the visual artists and writers who have told their personal story.
